December Meeting & Christmas Party

The Pahrump Dust Devils held their annual Christmas party at the Pahrump Elks lodge. We had an installation of our 2010 chapter officers (President: Jean Ulrich, Vice President: Gary Davis, Secretary: LaDene Urban and Treasurer: Lois Hall) along with our regular monthly meeting. A wonderful dinner including turkey and ham with all the trimmings was prepared and served by Iris & Ray Nelson and Martha Frame.

Boulder Beach - Near Lake Mead

The November 2009 camp-out was held at Boulder Beach campground located near Boulder City, NV. We had 15 member and one visitor rigs in attendance. A hot dog and chili welcome dinner along with a lot of goodies was presented by the camp-out hosts on Thursday evening. The weather was very warm on Thursday and Friday but turned cold on Friday night. A lot of games were played. Chuck Hick Hickstein won the horse shoe tournament and also the singles washer’s tournament. Gary Davis won the singles cribbage tournament. Terry Herbert and Jerry Hanon won the doubles washers. Plenty of Bloody Marys and Margaritas were available at the Dust Devils bar. A short chapter meeting was held on Saturday morning and a potluck dinner was enjoyed on Saturday evening. TECOPA HOT SPRING CA - October 2009

This camp-out was held at the Tecopa Palms RV Park in Tecopa, California. We had 45 members in 24 rigs with 5 guest. A wonderful welcome Sloppy-Joe dinner, provided by our camp-out host (Lois & Fred Hall, Iris & Ray Nelson and Gladys and Wally Gratrix) was enjoyed on Thursday evening. Kudos to our the trip leaders for all the planning and activities that everyone enjoyed during the outing. We played a lot of games, including cribbage, Mexican train, washers and horseshoes. First place winner in the cribbage tournament was Pat Irvin. The washers tournament was won by Fred Culmer and Al Orne and the horseshoes winning team was Lee Hites and Al Orne . The hot tubs were wonderful. Some attendees went out into the desert in their ATV's A chapter meeting was held on Saturday morning. The camp-out was finished off with a great Saturday evening pot luck dinner that included some really delicious food.

The Pahrump Valley Dust Devils are a group of RV'ers that are located in Pahrump Nevada. We are a chapter of the Nevada Good Sam organization. We have a membership of 30 RVing families and go on campouts and have other activities during the year. This Blog will provide information about our camp-outs and about our members as we enjoy the comradery of families that enjoy RVing.
